You kind person! The best way you can help your independent neighborhood music venue survive an indefinite, pandemic-induced closure is to write to your state and local representatives. You can also sign up for our mailing list as we will periodically be sending out updates and requests for assistance in writing your elected representatives.
Yes. We have a guest parking lot off of 14th ave and spots cost $5 each. Parking is available Mon-Fri after 6pm, and Sat-Sun 2 hours prior to the scheduled door time. If the lot is unavailable or full and you have to park on the street, please be mindful of our neighbors. Don’t block their driveways, don’t be loud, and be sure to pick up your trash. If you have an ADA placard you may park in the lot attached to the building for free.
Check the banner on the home page of our website. The roof deck is open April-September weather and event permitting. Double check before you head down just to make sure.
We want everyone to have the best possible experience when coming to our events. Please contact us at info@revhallpdx.com and provide us with details like what event you are planning to attend and how we can best accommodate your needs. Please note that we have several different seating configurations. We do our best to find the best location for you and your guests but have limited space and have to ensure that everyone is safe and as comfortable as possible.
Firearms, large knives, fireworks or explosives, drugs, outside alcohol, large bags, musical instruments or noise makers, large signs, spray paint, replica weapons, costume masks, any items determined by our security staff that could be used as a weapon, used to threaten other guests, used to disrupt events. This list is subject to change without notice. Only on-duty law enforcement is allowed to carry firearms on our property.
We allow bags, parcels, gifts, boxes, etc smaller than 16”x16”x8”. All bags that are allowed into the building will be thoroughly searched. It is our security staff’s discretion to allow or not allow any bags even if they are of correct size. We do offer a $5 per bag, item check located at our box office. We kindly ask that you avoid bringing large bags if at all possible.
Yes we have an item check. $3 per jacket/clothing item, $5 per bag/parcel. No re-checking items. Coat check closes 30 minutes after the conclusion of the even in the auditorium. If you think you have left an item, please let us know at info@revhallpdx.com, and we will check the lost and found.
We hold all lost items for 30 days. If you have an item you are missing within the last 30 days please contact us at info@revhallpdx.com, please provide a description of the item including make, color, shape, etc. We typically have a large number of items so being as descriptive as possible is very helpful for us to try and find it for you.
Email at info@revhallpdx.com and we can take a look for you. We shred any unclaimed cards after 30 days.
Guests of all ages can attend. All guests over the age of 2 are required to have their own ticket. Just because an event is All Ages does not mean that the content is approved for guests of any age.
No. Our OLCC liquor license does not allow for us to have minors mixed with adults 21 and older when our events are listed as 21+.
We accept all IDs listed on the OLCC list of acceptable IDs; Valid State Issued Drivers Licenses or ID cards, Valid Passports, and Valid Military IDs. Valid means not expired and unaltered. The OLCC defines ‘State’ as a United State or protectorate. If you are a guest traveling from out of country we suggest bringing your passport.
If a show is listed as 21 and over or you wish to drink an adult beverage and appear under the age 30 we will ask for your ID. State law requires us to verify the age of anyone who appears under the age 26 by using one of their approved forms of ID.
If you appear to be visibly intoxicated we reserve the right to refuse access to anyone, regardless of being a ticket holder or not.
When an event is listed as general admission it means all seating and standing locations are first come first serve. Some of our events are fully seated and general admission which just means first come first serve seating. Make sure to not leave open seats between you and your neighbor so all groups can find seating.
When an event is listed as fully seated it means we have seating throughout the venue all the way up to the front of the stage and do not have any areas for standing or dancing.
There is a dance floor area in front of the stage. We pull the first 5 rows of seating to allow room. The back of the auditorium level and the balcony are still seated.
When you purchase the tickets you pick the seat you will be sitting in for the concert.
It depends on the location, but the majority of the seats labeled as such still have good views of the stage. In most cases it is just a handrail or the curvature of the room that will partially obstruct the view of one side of the stage.
Yes! Any food and beverage purchased at one of the locations in the building are allowed in the venue for most shows. Just no glass cups please!
Yes! We have several locations menus available in the building; show bar has yummy Burgers and Fries with a menu we borrowed from our sister venue, Bar Bar. Marthas has Sandwiches, Pizza, and Sandwiches. The Roof Deck has a grill menu.
The venue holds a little over 800 guests
Rock and Roll high school! The building used to be Washington (or Washington-Monroe) High School. It was built in 1924 and the last class was held here in 1981. Since then it has served various functions until 2015 when it was rehabilitated into the multi use space it is today. Most of the old classrooms are now office space or bars and restaurants and the original high school auditorium is now home to Revolution Hall.
Just send us a note at info@revhallpdx.com. We have lots of spaces that can accommodate all sorts of different types of events and configurations. We love hosting events!
You can email booking@mississippistudios.com. Please understand that we have little to no control over opening spots for national touring acts and our calendar fills up pretty quickly. All submissions are considered but not all are responded to.
Typically not, but sometimes. Best way to find out about additional tickets is to sign up for our mailing list. We do not offer a waiting list for available tickets.
All ticket sales are final and we have a no refund policy in most circumstances. You are welcome to share your tickets with a friend or someone who can attend.
We will email ticket purchasers directly and post updated information on our website and social media channels.
Yes the closest hotel to us is the Jupiter & JupiterNext hotels about 10 blocks away. Let them know you are seeing a show at Rev Hall!
Absolutely, we think show bar is the bees knees but if your looking for something a bit more formal or just a different speed we suggest checking out Nostrana, West Coast Grocery Company, or Dan Wei Canting.
It depends on the event, but generally our policy is no professional photography, no flash photography, and please don’t be a distraction to your fellow show goers.
We often don’t know the official schedule until the day of the show and even then it is subject to change. Most events have a door time and start time listed and we do our best to start every event as close to ontime as possible. Typically opening acts play for 30-45 minutes.
