About:Buoyed by the response, they decided to ride the wave and not let a good thing slip away. The band's reputation has been growing ever since, More than a decade later, they're still going strong--packing dancers into clubs across northern Vermont, New York and New Hampshire. They’ve headlined concerts for Burlington's First Night celebration, played the annual Lake Champlain Blues Cruises, for the Burlington Mayor's Arts Council in Battery Park, rocked out the Church Street Marketplace, the Plattsburgh Mayor’s Cup and the Saranac Lake Chamber of Commerce. Blues For Breakfast. Vermont blues rock. The band's first release, "Fries & Gravy," was recorded live at Nectar's, and quickly sold out its 1000 copy pressing. They’ve also donated tracks to the first three Best of The Green Mountain Blues compilations, put together by Mr. Charlie, to benefit the kids at Camp Ta-Kum-Ta, a Colchester, VT camp for child cancer patients. With over 200 songs in their repertoire, there's something for every musical taste! Occasionally augmented by the Over Easy Horns, and other special guest artists, the “House Band of the Champlain Valley” mixes a rockin' blend of blues, originals, R&B, Dead and reggae, that'll have you energized and dancin' all night! "Mr. Charlie" Frazier - lead vocals, harp Adam King - Keys Ian Wade - Bass Brian Wade - Guitar Gary Wade - Drums Seth Yacavone - Guitar +++ Forman - http://formanband.com "Forman’s preternatural weaving style can only stem from one of two things: the sheer enjoyment of sharing a common muse or a superhuman telepathic link amongst the band." -The Prescription Forget genres, forget boundaries, and forget your expectations of what a band should play: Upstate New York's up-and-coming progressive-funk-rock act thrives off variety and challenge, making each live set different and unpredictable. Drawing on a myriad of musical styles combined with unplanned improvisational jamming, "Forman is a fresh new band with an upbeat, original sound, perfect for listening or dancing" (Jeremy Wall, Grammy-nominated composer and keyboardist of Spyro Gyra). Oneonta, NY, was the perfect home base for Forman to flourish in: their traversing a wild variety of musical terrain and intense onstage improvisational daring caught on quickly in the local music scene, garnering a strong following in the area. "Forman has consistently brought ever-growing crowds to [Oneonta venue] General Clinton Pub due to their strong original compositions and dynamic live performance" (Rob Franchini, club talent buyer/promoter). Using the small upstate town as a building block, the band has since expanded their music to surrounding areas and beyond, headlining such reputable music venues as Nectar's (Burlington, VT), Northern Lights (Clifton Park, NY), and Sullivan Hall (formerly the Lion's Den, New York City). Forman was the featured band in the premier issue of music fanzine The Prescription and was a crowd favorite at the 2007 Catskill Mountain Music Festival. In the spring of 2008, the band released "Balance": their first full-length studio album. It’s all original music that combines top-notch musicianship with catchy vocal hooks, and bends genres and rules like only Forman can. The album will be sold at live shows and online at the band's website www.FormanBand.com. The band plans to tour extensively in support of the recent release. Since first coming together in the fall of 2004, the uncanny chemistry between the band members has only grown exponentially: new songs are always exciting and different, and each live show is twice as energetic and diverse as the last. "Every time I see Forman, they seem to leave me questioning why I ever missed one of their shows before" (Adam Rossi, The Prescription). This band has only increasingly exciting times ahead of them.
